30 Day Blog Challenge – #2 Where I’d Like to be in 10 Years

Wow…this is a tough one. I suppose I could say I want to be rich, or have better stuff, but that’s not really me. I’m kind of a country gal at heart, and simpler things really make me happy. Here goes nothing…

  1. To have a job I love, whether it’s writing from home or working at a local school, or something similar to those. (I’ve been a SAHM for over three years and am working on getting a BA in English)
  2. To have well-adjusted kids – who by then will be 15 and 10.
  3. To be finished with all our home renovations, and finally have some furniture that I picked out. (Most of our furniture is hand-me-downs from relatives who have passed. I don’t want to get rid of all of it, but some of it I really hate.)
  4. To have helped my husband through whatever it is he’s struggling with right now.
  5. To finally have a clean, uncluttered house.
  6. To have gotten back into being creative. (I love woodcarving, painting and drawing, and having small children can make it very difficult to enjoy those activities.)

  1. With a 10 year old and a 15 year old, I can’t promise a clean uncluttered house. I am expecting that when my second goes to college. I think this is a great list and definitely reasonable things to shoot for (except the clean house :)).

Not sure where I’d like to be in 10 years. Hmmm…I will have to think about that.

That’s a really good list. I need to organize my house, although I figure once my kids are grown, it will be easier. Or at least I’m hoping. I too have all hand me down furniture, it works, but I’d love to have some new things!

It doesn’t necessarily have to be new, just stuff I pick. I kinda like old furniture – it would just be nice if it kinda matched, lol.

See – I knew you would come up with something! Well done! I still vote for world peace however! 🙂

No matter how hard I try, a clean organized house eludes me. I blame the kids. I would love to find my creative bug–the darn thing flew off a couple years ago and hasn’t come back.

Great list! I am with you on the writing and cleaning and pretty much everything else. We have a dream!
