Veterans, Credits, Bed-time, & Upcycling #NaBloPoMo

*author breathes a HUGE sigh of relief*

Connor is finally done being sick, and I managed to pass my environment class (the only 4-credit class required for my degree) with a solid B- even though my professor is apparently suffering from multiple personalities. She was more than willing to give me an extension because of Connor’s illness, but took huge points off my final paper for things even my English professors said was okay…go figure. So today, there are two HUGE things I’m thankful for – that the class is over and I passed, and to all the men and women who have or are serving our country.

The other thing I’m thankful for is that Kyle is sound asleep in HIS OWN ROOM. His bed. Not ours. Not Connor’s…his own bed! They’ve both been sleeping in our room since Connor got sick a couple of weeks ago, and although I love cuddling with them, I’m looking forward to a night of sleep without someone’s head jammed into the middle of my back. It didn’t take long to get him to go to sleep (he’s in a big-boy bed now), and there was no crying or anything…just some tossing around for a bit, then he just made himself comfortable and went to sleep! YAY ME!

Last for today, I found an awesome way to store thin ribbon – the kind that ends up a tangled mess no matter where you keep it. Can you believe how simple this is?

A huge shout out to Cut Out + Keep for this awesome up-cycling idea!
